LongHash Ventures, one of the leading Web3 venture funds in Asia, have announced they are continuing their partnership with Protocol Labs, the creator of Filecoin (38th biggest cryptocurrency) and IPFS (peer-to-peer distributed file system). Together they will launch the third LongHashX Accelerator Filecoin Cohort, a programme aiming to accelerate early-stage projects in the Filecoin ecosystem.
The LongHashX Accelerator has partnered with big-name ecosystems such as Algorand, Polkadot and Filecoin, to name a few. The scope of work by past graduates is also notable – ranging from permanent storage protocols (Lighthouse) to decentralised video calling apps (Huddle01).
$200,000 from LongHash Ventures and Protocol Labs will be granted to the projects selected. LongHash Ventures will also offer an additional $300,000 investment on a discretionary basis to the most promising projects upon completion of the programme.
This 12-week programme will aim to work on a similar range of sectors, although it is structured into six modules:
- Product Strategy & Design
- Tech Mentorship
- Community Building
Mentorship will also be provided, with developers, founders and investors from LongHash Ventures and Protocol Labs set to be involved, in addition to one-on-one problem-solving sessions with LongHashX Accelerator’s Venture Builders. Network building opportunities will also be available, as projects selected will have access to LongHash Ventures’ suite of portfolio companies, investors and community users.
