What is SHIB?
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a decentralized meme token created in August 2020. It has always been compared to Dogecoin, but the fact that they are both dog-themed meme coins is all they have in common.
Developers released SHIB on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token with a total supply of one quadrillion coins. Prior to the launch, half of the digital coins were transferred to the Uniswap DEX and the keys were destroyed.
Developers transferred the other half to Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum. He destroyed 90% of the tokens by sending them to a non-existent address.
