Market highlights: Bitcoin and Ethereum down, major altcoins dip in the last 24 hours
After hitting their all-time highs yesterday (November 10), Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) took a downward turn today.
Bitcoin dropped by about 5% to trade at about $64,903 while Ethereum dropped by about 2.5% to about $4,731.
On Nov. 10, BTC hit an all-time high of $68,789.63 raising speculations that the coin could close the week above $70,000 only for it to pull back by about $4,000.
Ethereum on the other hand had also hit an all-time high of $4,859.50 before plunging.
The majority of top coins dipped today
Besides, Bitcoin and Ethereum which are the top cryptocurrencies respectively according to their market caps, most of the 100 coins registered a drop today (November 11).
The only coins that have registered a rise in the last 24 hours are Tether (USDT), which has risen by 0.05%, SHIBA INU (SHIB), which has risen by 7.57%, Binance USD (BUSD), which has risen by 0.09%, NEAR Protocol (NEAR), which has risen by 5.32%, Helium (HNT), which has risen by 7.96%, Kadena (KDA), which has risen by 8.97%, TerraUSD (UST), which has risen by 0.15%, Zcash (ZEC), which has risen by 6.55%, OMG Network (OMG), which has risen by 20.48%, Amp (AMP), which has risen by 1.90%, Mina (MINA), which has risen by 36.85, Livepeer (LPT), which has risen by 2.16%, Revain (REV), which has risen by 1.71%, Horizen (ZEN), which has risen by 5.10%, and XDC Network (XDC), which has risen by 1.46%.
Top Gainers
While most altcoins are in the red, some new altcoins have registered extraordinary price hikes.
HUSKYX was today’s top gainer after it rose by 957.00%. It is followed closely by GreenMoonZilla (GRMZilla) that has gone up by 449.97% and Enhanced BTC (EBTC) that went up by 400.55%.
Other coins that made it to today’s top 5 gainers list include Wakanda Inu (WKD), MagicBox (MBT), and Hedge Finance (HEDGE).
