Enjin enables businesses and developers to create non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and virtual items for video games, music and more using Enjin’s proprietary software kit. Each asset is stored on the Ethereum blockchain and can be used in conjunction with Enjin’s coin, ENJ. This coin can be used to purchase virtual items from Enjin’s online marketplace and as a native token to use within the Enjin gaming ecosystem. On open exchanges, Enjin can be bought and sold, or swapped for other cryptos.

Enjin has its own crypto wallet where users can securely store their tokens. From the wallet, they can send ENJ to other users for free and use their tokens in Enjin based video games.  This page will take you through the process of purchasing Enjin, why you might consider buying Enjin and inform you of the best ways to store your tokens beyond using the platform’s own non-custodial wallet.

If you’d like to buy Enjin coin right away, then go check out any one of the brokers or exchanges listed in the tables on this page.

3 steps to buy Enjin (ENJ)

Step 1: Sign up to a broker or exchange

Sign up for one of our recommended exchanges or brokerages. You’ll need to provide some I.D. and contact information to register. This can feel a bit like opening a bank account. Due to increasing regulations around crypto exchanges, different exchanges use slightly different methods such as biometric data including the sort of technology found on smartphones such as fingerprint or face recognition.

Step 2: Deposit funds

After registering your account, make a monetary deposit so you can use your account to purchase crypto. Deposits can be made using a debit/credit card or bank transfer. If you choose to do a bank transfer, it will take longer for funds to hit your account.

Step 3: Buy Enjin coin

Search for Enjin’s native token, ENJ, on your chosen crypto exchange or brokerage. There will usually be a few pair options such as ENJ-BTC or ENJ-USDT. You’ll need to use your fiat to buy the base currency you plan to use first. Let’s say you buy USDT, a stablecoin, with your deposited dollars and you are all set. Next, search for ENJ-USDT. Choose how much you want to buy and click the button. You will have bought ENJ with your USDT. When you sell your Enjin coin it will be converted back to USDT.

Why buy Enjin?

If you’re interested in video games and NFTs, then investing in Enjin might be for you. Enjin’s software kit has helped many companies launch their own blockchain-based video games. The Enjin marketplace is home to a range of NFTs and virtual items for use in Enjin based games. The ENJ token is needed to purchase NFTs from the marketplace, so players will need the ENJ token at hand if they want to use the marketplace to buy video game items. The Enjin mobile wallet can be downloaded from app stores and can be used to bring investors and players into the Enjin ecosystem from their mobile phones. Users are able to manage NFTs, send ENJ, trade, access decentralised applications (dApps) and even claim free NFTs by scanning barcodes.

Enjin’s Efinity network on the Polkadot blockchain will be a decentralised ecosystem for NFTs and everything Enjin. Users will be able to use a cross-chain bridge to send NFTs from other networks to Efinity, possess the ability to create and modify NFTs and partake in a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) using its native EFI coin. In the DAO, users will have a say in how the Enjin ecosystem will develop future. Importantly, Enjin and EFI work alongside each other in the Enjin ecosystem. While Enjin can be viewed as the lifeblood of NFTs or as a sort of injected wax that can be liquidated through a ‘melting’ process to release the value of the NFT, EFI is an interoperable blockchain token, known as a paratoken, that is built on Polkadot that can be used to deliver community rewards, cover transaction fees, improve liquidity and facilitate governance.

Where to store your ENJ

You can keep your Enjin coin in your portfolio on a crypto exchange. Many people do this but this exposes them to third party risk. So. if you’d like greater security and control over your assets, purchasing a hardware wallet will be the way to go.

Hardware wallets are physical USB wallets that provide layers of security for your crypto assets. Ledger Nano S and Trezor are two widely available and popular hardware wallets trusted by crypto investors worldwide.
